Ross Dickinson
Ross Dickinson was born in Santa Ana in 1903. He studied in New York at the Grand Central School and the National Academy of Design. Upon his return to California, Dickinson continued his study at the Chouinard Institute, and the Santa Barbara School of Fine Arts. Dickinson was active in Southern California in the 1930’s, painting murals in a number of public buildings during that time. Throughout his life, Dickinson contributed to the arts communities, serving as a teacher in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara.
